How it works

What it changes, and where
It writes into the places WordPress and your SEO plugin already use, so nothing is hidden away and you can edit any of it by hand later.
Page titles
Into Yoast SEO, Rank Math or SEOPress, or Vinny Connect's own field when you have none.
Meta descriptions
Same place as titles, so your SEO plugin stays the one source of truth.
Image alt text
On the image in the Media Library and on the image tags in the page, with a revision kept.
Social share previews
The title and description people see when a page is shared, in your SEO plugin's social fields.
Main headings
One H1 per page: extra ones become sub-headings, or the first sub-heading is promoted. Free.
Labels for icon links
Social icons and other links with no text get a label screen readers announce, in content, Social Icon blocks and menus.
Structured data
Organization or LocalBusiness JSON-LD on your home page, built only from facts on your site and Google profile.
You stay in control
Nothing changes on its own
Vinny writes each fix and you approve it, one by one or all at once. You can edit any of them first.
A dry run before you approve
Vinny asks your site exactly which field each change would touch, what it holds now and what it will hold after. Nothing is written.
Approval in WordPress too, if you want
Turn it on and approved changes wait in wp-admin, with the same dry run, until an administrator there approves or declines each one.
Undo any change
From Vinny, any time. Page edits keep a WordPress revision, and undo refuses to overwrite edits someone made after.
Progress where you work
Notices in wp-admin when changes are applied or waiting, a status panel, and a Site Health check that the connection works.
A full log
Every change, undo, approval, dry run and error, with who did it. Filter to errors, or download it as a CSV.
No passwords shared
A connect key links one site to your Vinny account. Vinny never gets a WordPress login, and only stores a fingerprint of the key.
Signed requests only
The plugin refuses anything from Vinny that isn't signed for your site, and pulls approved changes itself every 5 minutes.
Updates itself
New versions show up on your Plugins screen like any other plugin, with what changed.

Vinny works on every site you add: scans, monitoring, rankings, reports, AI tools and the fix plan, with nothing to install. Vinny Connect is the extra for WordPress sites. Sites built from a GitHub repository get a pull request instead, and any other site gets the text to copy in or tickets for your team.

Questions
- Do I need Vinny Connect to use Vinny?
- No. Vinny scans, monitors and reports on any website, whatever it's built with, with nothing to install. Vinny Connect is an optional extra for WordPress sites, so the fixes you approve get saved for you. On GitHub sites Vinny opens a pull request instead, and anywhere else you copy them in or send them to your team as tickets.
- Does it scan my site?
- No. The scans happen in Vinny. Vinny Connect only applies the fixes you approve, and adds nothing to your pages except what those fixes need.
- What does it cost?
- The plugin is free. Writing and applying fixes comes with the Vinny Pro and Agency plans: 10 credits a page, and main-heading fixes are free.
- Is the connect key a license key?
- No. It only links one WordPress site to your Vinny account. License keys (UAA-…, SEO-… and SEC-…) are for the JustWhat Accessibility Audit Pro and JustWhat SEO Audit Pro plugins, separate products.
- Is this the same as the accessibility plugin?
- No. JustWhat Accessibility Audit checks accessibility inside wp-admin and works without Vinny. Vinny Connect has no checks of its own; it is how Vinny saves fixes into WordPress.
- What does it send to Vinny?
- Your site address, WordPress, PHP and plugin versions, which SEO plugin is active, and the result of each change with the value it replaced so it can be undone. Nothing about your visitors.
- What if I use All in One SEO?
- Titles and descriptions can't be written into All in One SEO yet, so those changes tell you to copy them in. Everything else works.
