Make an llms.txt for your site
llms.txt is a short Markdown file at the root of your site that tells AI tools what the site is and which pages matter. Enter your website and we'll draft one from your sitemap.
What it checks
- Your site's name and description from the home page
- Up to 20 pages from your sitemap (or the home page's links), with their titles and descriptions
- The llmstxt.org format: a title, a summary, then sections of links
- Whether you already have an llms.txt
Questions
What do I do with it?
Edit it so the summary says what you do in a sentence or two and the list keeps your most useful pages, then save it as llms.txt at the root of your site (yoursite.com/llms.txt).
Do AI tools read llms.txt?
It's a proposed standard. Some AI tools and agents look for it, and it costs nothing to add. It doesn't replace robots.txt or a sitemap.
Why are some pages missing?
We read up to 20 pages, shortest addresses first, and skip pages without a title. Add the rest by hand.
